Global Consumer Trends – The Westin 11am

Richard Halstead, co-founder and COO of Wine Intelligence UK will host this workshop, based on the 2016 Global Consumer Trends report published by Wine Intelligence.

Richard is an in demand as a speaker, writer and lecturer. He is a regular on the international conference circuit, and writes a regular column for Australia’s Wine Business Monthly magazine. Recent teaching engagements include the Bordeaux Wine MBA programme, the OIV Masters programme, and the Masters in Wine Business at Trieste University. Richard is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society, and holds MBA with distinction from London Business School. He is a graduate of Brown University.

The workshop will examine the latest and most important cultural and social drivers from around the globe, and explore how these may influence the wine category in the future. How we interact with products and services is evolving more rapidly now than at any other time in history. As consumer trends shift and develop, how will this impact the wine category and what are the key factors that will influence wine consumers in the future?

This interactive workshop will examine consumer trends in the context of wine and wine service.

Also in attendance: David Baverstock – winemaker at the critically acclaimed Herdade do Esporão, one of the best known wineries in the Alentejo region of Portugal.
