69 Situated in the heart of the Châteaux of the Loire between Chenonceaux and Chambord, 50 kilometres to the east of Tours on the left bank of the Cher, the Domaine covers an area of 27 hectares in AOC Touraine, in the commune of Pouillé. Now in the hands of Thierry Delaunay, Joël’s son, the quality of wine from this estate has improved all the more. A real appreciation of both terroir and climate, combined with modern winemaking reflects in the quality of these brilliant Sauvignons. Thierry Delaunay The house of Chéreau-Carré occupies a most privileged position in the Nantes region, with vines that cover 267 acres of the highest quality terroir, making it the largest producer of Muscadet. The oldest and most famous is Château de Chasseloir, built in the 15th century. The Chéreau family, with Bernard at the helm, is one of Febvre’s oldest partners, having supplied us for over fifty years.
