Simple Rules on Matching Food & Wine               Tasting and Talk

Pairing wine with food is often reduced to what goes with the basic

ingredient in a dish whether it’s fish or chicken or made unnecessarily

complicated by trying to find a scientific basis for the whole exercise.

But anyone can master the art with a few simple rules. Noel MacMahon, Wine Educator at Febvre Wines will go through a few simple rules with examples and a tasting of food friendly wines.

Wine Menu Clinic           

Bring along your food and wine menus and the Febvre team will give you advice on your wine selection and the ones best suited to your food menu and style.  We’ll also give you tips on menu layout, descriptions and how to sell through your list. David Boxall from Bermar Wine Preservation Systems will also be on hand to show you how to meet growing consumer demand for quality wines served by the glass and how to increase the value of your wine by the glass sales.

Not your usual Suspects Wine Tasting

A tasting of wines that are made from unusual or alternative grape varieties.  Noel MacMahon, Wine Educator at Febvre will take you through a journey into the unknown! He will also explain how well the different wine varieties work with certain dishes.

Why choosing the best glass shapes to match your wine list will have a direct effect on sales and profitability.
