With a history dating back 50 years, Bodegas Olarra base their wines on the ideal selection of the raw material, on the traditional winemaking methods which have been adapted to modern times and on the calm evolution of their wines in accordance with the new tastes of the consumer.

Virtually ever since they were founded, Bodegas Olarra has been known as the Grand Cathedral of Rioja or the best example of the Architecture of Wine. The stunning building, designed by Juan Antonio Ridruejo, is one of the first attempts to apply architecture to a wine cellar and one of the first times that a leading architect designed a winemaking facility.

The philosophy of Cerro Añón is really quite simple. To select the best so as to construct great Rioja wines. And we do so by following one of the most traditional methods of this land. Trying to find in the bottle the perfect blend of selected grapes from the different zones and which represent a great diversity of vineyards and soils. That is how a large part of the history of Rioja has been written.
