Cramele Recas
Details:
Cramele Recas is an estate near Timisoara, the capital of the Banat region in Western Romania, just south of Transylvania. This almost one thousand hectare estate, in impeccable condition, is run by Elvira and Philip Cox, a Romanian/English partnership. They have employed an Australian/Spanish winemaking couple to make the wines and the equipment is now extremely modern and suited to purpose with HACCP, ISO 9001 and ISO 2200.
They also practice green principles such as waste water purification with huge investment in this area. All of this endeavour is advised full-time by a well-known wine consultant, David Cowderoy( Roseworthy graduate) and bevy of MW’s have advised over the past few years.
We found really well-made, modern varietal wines, international as well as local, with an enviable purity of fruit and also, good structure and excellent balance. We have listed their Paparuda range which offers exceptional quality and value for money.
